It has the size and depth to provide a hard strummer or flat picker with enough headroom and projection to cut through a mix, but will also lend itself nicely to finger style pickers and softer touch players. The solid Sitka Spruce top provides tried and true projection and sparkle, while the layered Walnut back and sides provide a nice rigid frame for the top to really resonate on. This coupled with forward shifted X bracing makes for one lively and bold Taylor guitar! When you need to plug in, no matter the situation, the onboard Taylor ES-2 Electronics will keep your awesome tone in tact!

Expression System 2 was designed to do one thing. Make your guitar sound like your guitar when it's plugged in. Nothing more, nothing less. Three strategically placed Piezos are mounted right behind there saddle, giving you immediate access to be able to balance the pickup to your taste. Each Piezo has a little Allen Screw that you can literally adjust on the fly to get your guitar sounding exactly how you want it to. Combine those features with Taylor's amazing preamp, and you've got one of the most revered electronics systems in the acoustic guitar game!
